This "book" was a joke. I thought I was buying a book, but it is a pamphlet. The information was nothing more than what can be found with a quick search online or simply answered with common sense. How to learn about building a house? Do research online, read magazines, talk to people who have already built a home. THAT was the kind of useless advice in the "book". It was a waste of money, and the only reason I didn't send it back was because it made my husband laugh so much. He's convinced someone wrote a computer code to write this pamphlet. The cover image is badly photoshopped and fits perfectly with the entire charade of the publication. A fast one was definitely pulled here.

The information contained in this article lacks in specifics. It doesn't provide real, how to, do it yourself lists, diagrams, schematics, material, how to fasten to continer, what type of fasteners are needed and so on...

I'm embarrassed that the author is trying to pass this glorified leaflet with ~2black and white pictures, large text, and floor plans so grainy that you can't even read the specs, off as a "book." This is like a printed Wikipedia article. Super disappointed.

The Acing series are fantastic books, they have really nice breakdowns of the concepts without all the extra fluff you get from other supplements. The drawback? The index and glossary of terms. As in, there is none. The table of contents is 3.25 pages, the book is almost 500. If I want to look up something specifically, like Vested Remainders, I have to go to the chapter on Present and Future Interests and go through page by page until I find what I'm looking for. If you don't know if a topic will fall into the chapter on Real Estate Transactions or Co-Ownership rights, then you have to go through each chapter until you find it. This, obviously, makes finding specific topics very inconvenient.As the series is, 3 starts. Adding an index and a more detailed table of contents would definitely bump it up to 5.

Didnt help nearly as much as i thought. If you are struggling with the landlord/tenant, adverse possession etc it might be helpful for studying. However, the hardest part of real property is future interests and the way they went through FI was just not very helpful. I usually like the Acing study guides, but was not overly happy with this one.

This is a great supplement for the 1L year. All of the "Acing" books are well written, concise, and matter of fact. The entire series follows along with the general curriculum of classes (keep in mind that every professor teaches in the order he/she feels is best). This Property edition is no exception, it is not exact to the book my professor teaches, but it is a solid supplement to the themes and material taught in the course.

The book is fine for a very basic understanding of property. However it does not dovetail any of the information. Further, the typical hardest part of any property class is the present and future interests which this book slaughters. It abbreviates everything, does not go into the differences nor does its graphs help explain anything. Stick with the Nutshell or Crunch Time books.

I knew that Arun, the grandson of Mahatma Ghandi would enchant me with a good story, but I was thrilled to see that every detail about the book is beautiful. The illustrations by Evan Turk combine watercolor, paper collage, cotton fabric, cotton, yarn, gouache, pencil, tea, and ten foil. They are exquisite. The illustrations are matched with words that provide beautiful imagery such as this statement, “The tin bowls and utensils we used clanged, making a funny-sounding music.” The main focus of the book, which is about Arun feeling inadequate to live up to his grandfather’s reputation, shares a story about Arun becoming angry on the soccer field and then being overwhelmed with embarrassment as he tells his truth to his grandfather. His grandfather responds by telling him that anger is like electricity, it can strike like lightening and split a tree in half, or it can be channeled, transformed and like a lamp, switched on to shed light in the world.I’m so thankful Arun was willing to share his story. In a time when anger and self judgement threatens our world, this story is a blessing of healing. The publisher, Simon and Schuster did an incredible job bringing this book together. Whether you are a librarian, teacher, grandparent, parent, or the best aunt ever, I think you are going to want to get this book to share with those special kids (or adults) in your life.

This book is very cute with bright, bold illustrations that use an interesting art technique. The book is from the perspective of the little boy (Gandhi's grandson) as he works to learn how to channel his anger into more productive routes while worrying how he can live in the shadow of someone like his grandfather. As an elementary school teacher, I loved reading this book with my students and discussing the different themes such as Indian culture, what it feels like when you aren't good at something, and how can we act when we're angry. I could see this book being used in K-3 or K-4 classrooms. It is a little longer so the younger ones might have a little trouble sitting through it, but great message!

It's a great book, well written, with gorgeous pictures but what moved me most about it is Bethany Hegedus' story of how it came to be. Seeking solace after 9/11 she went to hear Arun Gandhi speak. His speech moved her so much she got it in her head that she would write a book with him. She was not even a published author at the time she approached him. What a crazy and amazing idea. And more crazy and amazing is that he didn't brush her off... he said "yes." It took 12 years to get the project to this point... but how awesome and amazing that it even happened.

This is one of the best children's books I've ever read. What an amazing story that all children should hear. The illustrations completely illuminate the story and are such beautiful works of art, they should be framed! Stunning colors, and visuals that cause you to think and relate. The theme is magically woven (pun intended) throughout the book.

Hegedus, who was moved by hearing Arun Gandhi speak shortly after 9/11, catches his gentle spirit in the retelling.

Bobby Flay's Grill It is essential for grilling newbies. He not only gives clear instructions on how to cook popular cuts of meat, but also provides suggestions and recipes for side dishes that compliment the meat (and the grill). We love cookbooks in my house, but this is the only "grilling" cookbook we really use regularly.

Good recipes, good pictures, well organized book.It is very focused on the recipes -- I would have preferred a chapter or 2 talking about his cooking style, tips, inspirations, etc. I want more insight into his thought process, which I get when watching some of his shows, but it would be nice to flesh that out in detail in a long form like a book.

Having purchased our 1st pricey grill, purchased Bobby's book, after having seen him many times on FNW. This book does not disappoint. Great education on grilling meats; making rubs, some marinades; how to grill; complimentary side dishes, etc.

I gave Bobby Flay's GRILL IT to a graduate of USC (Carolina) & he loves it. For graduation he received a large, Green Egg Grill, so along with Bobby's cookbook he has never looked back.I must say this cookbook has really encouraged him & he has become more confident as his skills increase.Great Grilling Book.

Bobby Flay is a featured celebrity chef on Food Network. He not only has his own shows like "Grill It" and "Barbecue Obsession," but also stars on shows like "Next FN Star." (Pardon, I'm doing this from memory and that Obsession may be a bit off). Flay, who says he's a high school dropout, is a restauranteur of note."Grill It" is a wonderful cookbook that is the companion to the FN series of the same name. I love the series and enjoy owning the book. If you only use the chapter on Burgers, pages 42--61, you have recovered your investment. Here you get Green Chile Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Red Wine - Onion Jam, Avocado Relish, etc on top of 9 burgers. Then, you get the rest of the book!If you want the down & dirty on grilling, you want to own this book. (Memo to Bobby: the new Las Vegas Strip unit of Bobby's Burger Palace needs a chef's attention.)

Bobby Flay's "Grill It!" is a nice cookbook for those of us who enjoy firing up our grills. Charcoal or gas grill? Flay accepts both and gives some hints about each. He notes at the outset that (Page vi): "Firing up the grill makes every night dinners with family or simple get-togethers with friends feel like a party or some sort of celebration." The early part of the book discusses fundamentals--direct versus indirect heat and when to use each, how to determine how hot the grill is, testing for doneness, needed gear to grill, what should be in your pantry and refrigerator. Finally, he emphasizes going to a local market/store, picking up what food seems freshest and most interesting, and going from there.But the heart of the book is the recipes. He divides these up into types of food--vegetables, chicken, beef, seafood, etc.At the outset, he discusses grilling veggies. I have tried one of these already--asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. Straightforward ingredients--asparagus, prosciutto, mint, parsley, garlic, etc. Grill the asparagus, after tossing it with oil and seasoning with salt and pepper. Grill until crisp-tender. Then wrap in prosciutto (8 or so stalks at a time) with the other blended ingredients. Yummy! A fine side dish for a meal.Beef? He begins with describing how to grill steak perfectly, the base recipe, so to speak. Then, he provides variations, such as creating sauces such as horseradish or balsamic-rosemary sauces. I spent my days in graduate school in Buffalo, New York, so I was especially intrigued by his "Spicy Buffalo style burger with celery-carrot slaw and blue cheese dressing." That is, he reinvents Buffalo chicken wings as a grilled burger. I haven't tried this yet, but I sure am interested in experimenting with this when I get the chance.In the section on chicken, he begins, once more, with a base recipe, "Perfectly grilled chicken breast." After this, a series of variations on the base recipe or other recipes entirely. What about "Apple-ginger glazed chicken"? "Sweet and sour grilled chicken"?And on it goes. Sections on grilling pork, corn, fruit, lamb, shrimp, scallops, tuna, and so on.As I can tell from the front material, Flay has written other grilling books. I don't know if any recipes are repeated here or not. But I can say that this set of recipes looks pretty tempting. And the few grilled dishes that I have tried thus far have not disappointed.

When Zero looked at herself in the mirror she saw a hole right in her middle. How can a number worth absolutely nothing become worth something? Zero sets out to find worth in herself. She felt empty inside. Zero is a wonderful number book that looks at not only the concept of counting, it tackles the social issue of self acceptance and diversity. I liked how Otoshi used feeling words that most children of three or four year old would not know and gives opportunity to extend their vocabulary. I also found it was fun to stay with the fast paced story to see how the number Zero was going to count. If there was a "Grandma's Choice Award" it would certainly be a winner.

Don't let the black cover fool you. This book is a ten! I love the message of this book. The illustration is simply and beautiful. My kindergartner used this book for a book report and she really understood the importance of what it means to be of value. Great message, great book.

My intentions are to read this book to my 4th graders as a read aloud, during the first week of back to school, focusing on worth, value, self-identity, and place value all in one.A cute spin on idividualism as well as collaboration! I enjoyed reading this quick read.

She is such a great children's book writer. My boys ages 8 and 6 loved this book, and zero is often such a hard concept it is a good thing to introduce at an early age. Many counting books start at 1, its great to start at zero and work with zero, helps a lot for your children when they are looking at negative numbers and the number line.
