This was a book required for my education as a veterinary technician - it is very useful and provides colored photos, illustrations, and life cycles. It also includes external and internal parasites of small animals, large animals, pocket pets, fish, and avian/non-avian reptiles. This book also goes into zoonosis and public health concerns.Not as thorough as a book for veterinarians, but I found this book very useful for school and as a study aid.
This book has great pictures and covers all the parasites I ended to learn about in school. The writing it very repetitive though. For example two paragraphs right next to each other will have the exact same information just written in a different order.
I made this purchase to learn how to check my pets for problems. Excellent information and directions. Clear pictures for comparison. Common parasites and rare ones are described.
Book is very technical but fairly easy to read for a non-technitian. The illustrations are great, I particularly enjoyed the section on dyes.
I'm very glad I bought it. Its a great add to my library and very well put together. Wonderful seller.
